Photographer Kiyoji Otsuji documented the two famous Gutai happenings “Second Gutai Art Exhibition,” held at Ohara Hall, Tokyo in 1956, and the “Gutai Art on Stage” performance, presented at Keisai Hall, Tokyo in 1957. His documentary photographs are coffered in the “Kiyoji Otsuji Archive” at the Musashino Art University. In collaboration with the Musashino Art University, TPH reproduced the photographs from negatives in the estate, published and exhibited them as portfolio “Gutai 1956-57”
